I’ve always had this theory that everything is the same bland color and the color science – theory – hububaloo ain’t real. Everything’s the same color, and the truth is we all perceive it differently. What is “red” to me might be really “blue” to you. The trick is we taught ourselves to call specific colors by their specific names. So what is “red” to me is red to me forever, while that same color might be “blue” to you in reality, you still call it “red” because that’s what they taught you in pre-school.
Confusing enough?
Imagine waking up in a world where everything’s void of color. It’s not that you broke your eyes, everything’s just in the same color.

When I put this site up (around late last year), I had originally planned for this site to be as anonymous as possible. People who know me know I have this blog, but I kinda wanted to be anonymous to the people who stumble upon this site on their own. So far, the plan is a huge flop. Well, sort of. The few people who has seen this site have been my friends – yup no intrigued stranger yet! I gotta embrace that fact.
I’m not one to do self-portraiture that often. I take photos of me and my friends on my phone looking like total loonies but that’s as closest to portraiture as I can get. Except for a few ones I guess:
I’m finally accepting that self-portraiture is an art, albeit I can add it to the list of things I’m not very good at. I’d want to learn the craft, not because I’m totally vain, (okay maybe a little – haha!) it’s part of this quasi New Year’s resolution of mine – to try out something I’m scared of. I haven’t had the chance to practice it since the year started. I shall try though - real soon. I just need to find me a good face, hahahaha!

I s’pose it wouldn’t be too late for a 2009 recap blog entry? Would it?
Oh hell, I’m already typing, so here goes nuthin.
2009 has been one vivid dream to me. Bouncing from climatic surrealism to painful night-terrors. If I could do a quick recap of my 2009 highlights (the good together with the bad, it would look something like this – a chronological attempt):
(Note: This list is an unforgiving one, turn away now)
1. Resigning from my first job.
2. Breaking up with Tani – best highlight yet. Let’s just say I’m glad we’re not together anymore (been glad since the day I said bye bye).
3. Resigning from my second job (although I learned a lot from it, they weren’t able to pay me for 2 months – and I gots needs too!).
4. Both being with Dan and breaking up with him. – I learned so many things from that short impulsive relationship that would’ve, else, taken me years to learn. Best thing I’ve learned: People can and will lie, especially if they feel threatened – all the more if the threat spells out losing the one they love.
5. Discovering the fact that stability is very much overrated. I am loving how I am now.
6. Frame Ong, and bad idea #6
7. Ephraimm (don’t ask – won’t tell policy) – Let’s just say I’ve finally found who I am and what I want to do for the rest of my life (though I doubt I’ll do this forever haha!) I gotta credit Frame for this, if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have the courage to push through with it.

kchoa x Frame Ong
8. Church Simplified – I ain’t givin no bullshit here. I really do enjoy CS (not just the free Krispy Kreme and coffee).
9. Workin for WWF and UNICEF (sadly this adventure has come to an end, I met so many amazing people and went through a lot, but it’s time to move on)
10. Peaberry! (this is like my 5th home)
11. Drunk nights with Lexy, Thea, Ted, Migs, and Frame. Believe it or not, the most intelligent conversations I’ve had so far was over shots of dark rum.
12. 13. 14. 15. – I’ve got 4 more but it wouldn’t be fair to put it here. If you thought me dropping names of my the people I regret ever dating here was ruthless, let’s just say mentioning the other 4 would land me in jail. HAHAHAHA!
Well there you go, a bit short and stale-sounding but really it isn’t. I’ve lived an amazing 2009 with both the good and the bad. I wouldn’t have lived it any other way, if I didn’t I might not end up where I am now; with the person who’s been an unlimited source of strength, Frame.
Lemme roll my sleeves up and say: Here’s to an even messier, dirtier, grimier 2010!

Railroads are the underrated grids that mark the have-been-journeys. Tracing every space between the bars brings an orgasmic understanding of what was in the past linked with what will be in the future. An almost casual fallacy.
